Happy April and happy first day of National Poetry Writing Month! Since you’re all busy, we’ll get right to it. Each day in April 2022 there will be a new parent/child themed writing prompt here for you. Here’s day one:
If your house looks like mine, then this one should be easy. Write a poem about the nearest baby/child related object and the relationship it has to your child.
The relevance of the object to the child can, but doesn’t have to be obvious. For example, my toddler loves the vacuum cleaner, not something where your first thought would be that’s baby related.
Please remember you can use this prompt in it’s entirety, parts of it or do whatever you want with it, it’s just here to inspire you. Please post your poems in the comments below or on your own blogs and tag us with the hashtag #MomPrompts2022. Happy writing!
