I can honestly say, since the birth of my child, I can’t remember the last time I did something new for 30 days in a row. And it was hard. I used to think that it took only 22 days to form a new habit, but apparently the newest data shows that it can take anywhere from 18 to 254 days to form a new habit. So for all you mama’s and papa’s out there blogging, I hurt with you. But lets try to keep the ball rolling.

Heading into spring you can expect to see some great (and budget conscious) recipes and recipe reviews here on Dear Mama and we’re going to try to set up some free homeschool printables for you (anybody else homeschool 365 days a year?) as well, so stay tuned!

This one’s meant to be silly. There’s spaghetti on the kitchen ceiling, like a full plate, tomato sauce dripping everywhere, meatballs, the works, but you haven’t served spaghetti and meatballs recently. Where did it come from? Come up with the most ridiculous way your child could have managed to make this mess and where they got the spaghetti. Go nuts. Space aliens? Stacked chairs? Try thinking like Dr. Suess.

“It’s not just me!” Chances are you’ve had one or more of these moments while talking to other parents where you realize another parent has had or is having a similar experience as you have had or are having. Write about the last time you had this moment. How did it make you feel to find someone empathetic to your situation? What baby/child related experience did you bond over?
