The other day I baked some bread and I really did not consider a very important aspect; how do I store my bread so it doesn’t go bad?

In the past the answer for me would have been in the plastic bag the bread was bought in, but when making it at home that is not an option. So I did some research and found that old fashion bread boxes are making a come back! Here’s my top five picks:

KitchenCraft Stay Fresh Expanding Bread Keeper with Bread Slicer Guide on sale today for £13.80! (usually £21.99): The bread slicer guide is an awesome feature that I definitely need, because otherwise my slices turn out too thick, too small and it’s a mess.
LARS NYSØM Bread Box on sale today for £19.99! (usually £37.99): This bread box is amazing! Besides the 47% savings today, it comes with a reusable bread bag and the lid is a cutting board so you will always have a dedicated place to slice your bread.
Calitek Bread Bin £24.95 (also available in a cute retro design for £26.95): This vintage design steel bread bin is nice and roomy, also comes in purple and in a retro design. Takes up little space and is easy to clean.
Space Saving Extra Large Vertical Bread Bin on sale today for £23.99! (usually £29.99): This one also comes with a lid that doubles as a cutting board, is space saving and fits two loaves!
HOMION BAMBOO BREAD BOX for £19.99: This is the only wooden box in my top five, there is another one I was looking at, but it’s a little more expensive. This bread box can sit two different ways and opens as a drop down or lift up fashion accordingly.

Lately my toddler has been very into cooking, to the point where he runs through the house screaming “coooook!” until you get a pot out for him and help him stir some cheerios around in it for hours. My thoughts on this? What an opportunity for mom to try out some of the three thousand recipes she has pinned on Pinterest!

I didn’t want to jump in too deep, because I’m definitely not a great cook and you never know when the little one will get bored, so I chose this three ingredient Artisan bread recipe by I Heart Naptime. Lots of measuring, pouring and stirring to keep baby happy!

Full disclosure, this was my second try ever baking bread. I tried making some burger buns a few months ago and the recipe was too complicated for me. It required multiple kneads and risings, it was an all day ordeal and I definitely did not want to repeat that.

The results of our bread baking were phenomenal! The instructions, when carefully read, were easy to follow and the bread did not turn out like cake (which my aforementioned burger buns unfortunately did, that’s the result of too much kneading). It’s basically made foolproof for fools like me who think they can bake bread. Just measure, pour, stir, let it rise for a few hours, shape, bake, cool and eat. Easy-peasy, toddler and mom approved!
